Unofficial Build of XBMC for Android Allows HD Playback, Includes a Friendlier InterfaceAndroid: It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to get XBMC, a favorite media core application, on Android. We haven’t seen an official, fast recover yet, though a new user-friendly build from a XBMCANDROID group is accessible now. Here’s what we need to know.

Right now, a central builds don’t support hardware acceleration on many devices, that means HD video is out of a question. This build, however, leverages a use of third-party players—like a MX Player listed during a couple below—to play those HD videos. The user interface is also most some-more accessible than a nightlies and beta we’ve seen before, and it even comes bundled with a few add-ons and a ability to use it as your default launcher. Head to a XDA Developers thread next if we wish to try it out.

Update: As many of we have forked out, this is not an central chronicle of XBMC for android from Team XBMC, though from the XBMCANDROID team. Our apologies for a mistake. We’ve updated a post to embody some-more info on what this chronicle does.
